Custom Embroidery

Next to screen printing, custom embroidery is our second most popular method of embellishment. Guided by a special .DST file our embroidery machines weave threads in and out of clothing in order to create an intricate design. One thread at a time, your design starts coming to life! Embroidery results in a high quality finish which allows your organization to stand out.

Embroidery Benefits

Embroidery is a great way to decorate a garment with a high-quality and lasting finish.

- Embroidery gives your logo a finished look - fitting for an organization that prides itself on excellence and quality.

- Custom embroidery ensures meticulous detailing and precision in designs by closely monitoring and adjusting the stitch count for each pattern, resulting in exquisite and tailored embroidered creations.

Durable and lasting

- Unlike screen printing, embroidery uses threads to weave a design into a garment. Because of this, custom embroidered apparel is made to last a long time. In addition to this, our threads also maintain their colour, regardless of the number of times it is washed.

Embroidery works on a wide variety of garments.

- With other printing methods, there may sometimes be limitations with the print area or the material. With embroidery, you can place your logo on the middle of a seam and on a wide variety of fabric types.

- Embroidery machines work by digitally interpreting designs and utilizing programmed needles to intricately stitch these designs onto fabric, following precise patterns and stitch counts to create detailed and customized embroidered designs.

Embroidery Limitations

Embroidery is a great way to print your product, but due to its nature, some things are just not possible and may best be suited with other printing methods.

Embroidering gradients

- Printing gradients is very hard to do with embroidery. Since a gradient needs many colours to achieve the desired effect, it would require changing the thread every few loops.

- A gradient design would best be achieved with sublimation or DFT. However, if you are okay with abrupt changes in colour, embroidery gradients can be possible.

Number of Unique Colours

- There is a strict limitation of 12 colours for embroidery.

Embroidering small details

- Depending on the intricacy of your custom embroidery design or text, small details may not show up. If you are unable to enlarge intricate details, we would recommend screen printing

A large design can be expensive.

- The cost of a custom embroidered logo is solely dependent on the size of the logo - as your logo increases, so does the length of time it takes to embroider your logo. This means that printing a large design can turn out to be very costly. If you are looking to keep costs down and can not reduce the size of your print, we would recommend a screen print.

Embroidery may ruin waterproof garments.

- Embroidery can ruin the waterproof nature of jackets. For more expensive jackets, we would highly recommend that you do a DFT or screen printing on the jacket. This allows you to maintain the integrity of the fabric while applying your logo.

Embroidery Care Instructions

Embroidered logos are made to last; however here are a few tips for making them last even longer.

Washing Guidelines: Inside out, avoid washing with other garments with zippers or sharp objects. Sharp objects can catch on the thread and ruin your logo.

Drying Guidelines: Hang dry if possible to prevent shrinkage. If the fabric around the embroidery shrinks, there can be wrinkling around the embroidered logo.

Iron: Do not iron an embroidered logo directly. Flip the garment inside out and avoid any steaming features.
